ART from the ashes Exhibitions and Community Programming
Los Angeles based artist Colette Miller finds her inspiration in humanity. In 2012 she began the Global Angel Wings Project. Her painted wings adorned city streets inviting the community to become part of the art. People took photos with the wings and soon the connection and social network of everyday angels went global.
As part of AFTA Productions YOU ARE HERE Temporary Art Series Colette created the first traveling version of her interactive wings using reclaimed materials. Glendale Wings are currently on exhibit at the Glendale Central Library, traveling to Cruise Night on August 29th with additional stops to sites in Glendale throughout 2015. Stay tuned for updates and locations!
“The interactive wings are to remind people that we can be the angels of this earth. Ultimately I hope they are a symbol of peace. I would like to bring some heavens to the earth – or the SKY to the STREET.” ~ Colette Miller
